Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all purchases of products and workshop services made through the Roubaix London website or in person at the Workshop.
1. About us
Roubaix London (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates from Unit 39, Townmead Business Centre, William Morris Way, London SW6 2SZ. These terms apply to all purchases of products and workshop services made through our website or in person at the Workshop.
2. Orders and acceptance
An order is only accepted once payment has been taken (in full or as a deposit) and confirmed by us. We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order, for example where an item is no longer available, priced in error, or where we suspect fraud — in which case any payment taken will be refunded in full.
3. Pricing and payment
All prices are shown in GBP and include VAT at the applicable rate. We take reasonable care to ensure prices are correct, but errors can occasionally occur; if we discover a pricing error before dispatch or before your workshop appointment, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price. Payment is processed securely via Stripe; we do not store your card details.
4. Workshop services and deposits
Some workshop services can be paid in full online, paid as a percentage deposit online with the balance due in person, or paid entirely in person — this is shown at the time of booking. A deposit secures your appointment slot but does not fix a final price where further parts or labour are found to be necessary once your bike is inspected; we will always confirm additional costs with you before carrying out extra work. If you need to cancel or reschedule a workshop booking, please give us as much notice as possible; deposits may not be refundable for cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice.
5. Delivery and collection
Products may be collected from the Workshop or shipped to the address you provide. Estimated delivery times are not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection. It is your responsibility to check goods on collection or delivery and notify us promptly of any damage or fault.
6. Your right to cancel (distance selling)
If you are a consumer ordering products online (not workshop services, and not goods made or personalised to your specification, such as bespoke bike builds), you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, without needing a reason. To cancel, contact us in writing (email is fine) within that period. You will need to return the goods to us at your own cost, in their original condition, within 14 days of telling us you wish to cancel; we will refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. This right does not apply to workshop services once carried out with your agreement, or to bespoke or custom bike builds made to your specification.
7. Faulty or misdescribed goods
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If a product is faulty, not as described, or does not last a reasonable length of time, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund depending on how long you have had it. Please contact us and we will resolve this promptly.
8. Workshop repairs and warranty
We guarantee our workshop labour for 3 months from the date of the service against faults arising from that specific work, excluding wear and tear, misuse, accidents, or subsequent work by anyone else. Parts fitted by us carry the warranty provided by the part’s manufacturer. If you supply your own parts for us to fit, we are not responsible for the performance or safety of those parts, only for the correct fitting of them.
9. Liability
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Our liability for any claim relating to products or services purchased from us is limited to the amount you paid for that product or service, except where liability cannot be limited by law (for example, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud).
10. Data and privacy
We collect and use your personal data (name, contact details, order and booking information, and payment confirmation from Stripe) only to fulfil your order, provide workshop services, and improve our service to you. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data and your rights under UK GDPR.
11. Discount codes
Discount codes are subject to the terms shown at the time of use, including any expiry date, minimum spend, or restriction to specific product or service categories. Only one discount code may be used per order. Discount codes do not apply to items already reduced in price. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a discount code at any time before it is redeemed.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
